Oh, this poor neglected blog.
We are still alive. Thank you for not giving up on us.
We have been enjoying our summer and haven’t spent much time online. Summer is way too short of a season to spend on the computer indoors!
So, let’s recap our summer, why don’t we?
In May we bought a new car.
In June Minneapolis saw 103° for the first time in 23 years, so we spent lots of time in the pool.
We hovered around this guy as he learned how to pull himself up on things.
And we traveled down to Chicago to celebrate Mike’s Grandma’s 80th birthday.
In July Mike and I celebrated 5 years of marriage. This really deserves a post of it’s own.
I celebrated entering into my 29th year of life. We met some friends at the splash pool and enjoyed a these delicious bean bars.
Minneapolis then entered a week-long heat wave and experienced heat indexes of 122°. We Minnesotans aren’t built for this type of heat, and neither is our un-insulated house. Our upstairs bedrooms reached near 100° during the day.
Mike enjoyed a 3 day camping trip to the Porcupine Mountains in the UP.
While Mike was gone and our house felt like a sauna, I took the kids on a 320-mile journey down to Waukesha to visit my parents.
Warning: traveling this far with 2 young children is not for the faint of heart.
I think that about catches you up on our life. I promise to be around more.
