Mila needs a new home :(

5 Jan

With  a heavy heart we have decided to put our dog, Mila, up for adoption.   She has spent the last 5 ½ years of her 6 year life with us, so this is  no easy decision.  She’s part of our family and it’s not going to be  easy to see her go.

Mila

Recently,  Mila has been acting aggressively toward our 2 year-old daughter.  To  protect our little ones, we need to find her a home that fits her  better.

Hello!

Mila facts:
6 years old
85 pounds
Black lab mix
Alpha dog–does not play well with other dogs
Loves to play, go for walks, plays chase and tug of war
Great guard dog–she only barks when necessary (goodness, we couldn’t handle a barker)
She’s  great with property boundaries–when letting her out to go potty, she  stays in the yard without a leash or runner and sits by the door until  we let her back in.
She loves to cuddle
She’s compassionate when you’re hurting
Gone though obedience training
Tricks she knows: sit, shake, leave it, stay, lay down, come
In great health–we take her for check-ups twice a year

If interested, we will give you her dog crate and all other accessories (leash, food dishes, treats, bones, etc.)

Enjoying the outdoors

I’m so sorry. I know that this decision comes with a heavy heart. 😦

Today Mila was out of her kennel while Hazel was awake. The poor dog’s hair was standing up–she was totally on edge. I think we’re making the right choice in finding Mila a new home. Thankfully, it looks like Mila Monster will be going to a wonderful home in Green Bay!
